My Story So Far.
From a Kitchen Salon to Salon Elevation.
If you’re reading this, it means something here has resonated with you. And I want to take a moment to say—thank you. This part of my story is where everything changed for me.
I’m Lisa, a mum to two beautifully wild, neurodivergent children, one with additional needs. My life has never been straightforward—it’s been a journey of resilience, transformation, and learning how to navigate both business and motherhood in a way that actually works.
For so long, I felt like I was running on pure survival mode—juggling the weight of motherhood, business, and life, always feeling like I had to do more to be enough. My mind was constantly spinning, and I struggled to find clarity in the chaos. It wasn’t until I finally understood my own brain—after years of struggling with focus, exhaustion, and mental overload—that things started to change.
I started my salon in the corner of my kitchen in an old home that wasn’t anything fancy. No luxury setup, no dream studio—just a chair, a mirror, a portable basin, and a vision. Within 24 hours, I had an ABN, an Instagram account, and a booking system. The next morning, I woke up to clients booking in. That was the moment I realized I wasn’t stuck. I had the power to create something on my own terms.
And so do you.
But what many people don’t know is that before stepping back into the salon industry, I spent years in the corporate world—running multi-million dollar stores in the travel sales industry. I know how to sell, systemize, and scale a business for real, lasting success. And when I applied those same strategies to my own salon? I built a six-figure business from my home, proving that you do not need a big salon or a massive following to create financial freedom. You just need the right strategy, mindset, and support.
Hairdressers are not just stylists—we are healers. We show up for our clients every single day, helping them feel seen, valued, and confident, even when we are struggling ourselves. But while we pour into others, we often forget that we deserve the same level of care, structure, and support.
That’s why I created Salon Elevation. Because I know how overwhelming it feels to juggle everything and wonder if there’s another way. I’m here to tell you: there is.

I went from cutting hair in my kitchen to being fully booked within six months, and today, I work from my beautiful She Shed—a space that allows me to keep my family as my first priority while running a business I love. And now, my mission is to help other salon owners do the same.
